Apollo Adult Day Program is a behavior management and community-based program that works with adults who have intellectual and behavioral disorders.
Apollo Adult Day Program is a community-based program firmly based on training principles and practices that are fully-endorsed and supported by the California State Department of Education, Office of Special Education.
Our training and community integrated activities are designed to empower our clients to become more independent and self-reliant, while also becoming more involved in their own community.
AADP interrelates, integrates, includes and connects the personal interests, preferences and choices of clients with real and simulated “hands-on” pre-vocational training activities, while simultaneously offering social and recreational experiences in the community.
Pre-vocational training can help our participants gain important skills for a variety of jobs.
High quality rehabilitation programs will help our participants become more independent and self-reliant.
Program participants can join in on any of our fun community outings planned throughout the year.
Social work opportunities help our participants be more involved with the community.
Recreational and social activities bring our participants together in fun and unique ways.
Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more.
Transportation services help make daily life easier and more convenient for our participants.
We offer a wide variety of high quality senior programs for any program participant to join.
Here at AADP, we are very passionate about what we do and the type of community we want to create. Our goal is to foster independence and assist every client to become a contributing member of our society using a person-centered approach. We invision an inclusive community that accepts those with special needs to live independently, free from judgment.
Apollo Adult Day Program is led by a team of individuals that are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive community for individuals with special needs.
I like Apollo a lot! I went to a different Day Program before but think Apollo is a better fit for me. They teach me work skills, they know how to work with me when I am upset, and I feel like we're family! Apollo is fun and makes me happy!
Mother of Jacob, Program Participant
Jacob has been attending Apollo since leaving school, for almost 20 years. The staff are patient, friendly and fun! The program has been very well suited to his needs and he looks forward to going to Apollo each day. He has opportunities to go into the community, to grow and improve his socialization skills, and also to just be himself in a caring and safe place. As a parent and caregiver, I am very thankful for the Apollo program.
I like Apollo because everyone here is nice to me. I like the activities and outings. They let me pick what I want to do and that makes me happy.
